The Heavy Hitch Back Plow Blade with a 54” Snow Plow Blade is designed for maximum performance in snow removal tasks. Made from 1/4” x 2” AR/400 carbon steel, the heavy-duty blade provides superior stability and wear resistance, reducing bounce during use. The reversible 54” UHMW cutting edge is crafted from ½” x 3” Virgin BLACK UHMW, ensuring non-marking capabilities on compact and sub-compact tractors.

Just curious if any thought has been given to adding mounting points on the blade to support the use of a hydraulic cylinder for angling purposes?

Can you tell me if the receiver bar fits into a 2 inch receiver on my cars hitch and also the height of the blade including the receiver bar off the ground. I understand that I will not be able to raise and lower this blade using my cars hitch but I have some adjustments with my hitch shank so I just want to be able to plow majority of the snow on my gravel 800 foot driveway.

The back blade is not designed to be used on vehicles. Therefore is not recommended to be used on cars or vehicles and cannot be sold with any type of guarantee or warranty.

I ordered the 54” back blade plow and all I can say is WOW! After seeing this product reviewed by Tractor Time with Tim on YouTube, I was really intrigued by this product and it’s made in the USA! So I ordered a green one to see if it was worth the hype and see how well it would perform clearing snow on my driveway. The back blade shipped to my house within a couple of days of ordering and was fully assembled. The quality looks to be second to none, the welds are smooth, the powder coat looks super thick and durable, the metal material is heavy duty as stated in the description. I use a 47” snowblower on the front of my JD 2305 and always have a thin layer of snow that gets left behind with my shoes adjusted up a 1/4” or so. My driveway is a pretty steep hill. So the cleaner I can get the driveway, the less likely my family will have trouble getting their vehicles up to the house. I usually hand shovel after snowblowing, not anymore! After using the plow after handful of snowfalls and neighborhood driveways, it cleared the snow all the way down to the asphalt and concrete. The only thing I would suggest to the Heavy Hitch crew would be developing a some sort of soft side or angled rubber wing extensions for a little more capacity. I liked this product so much I ordered a Heavy Hitch offset weight bracket to compliment the back blade (green one of course). No regrets with that purchase either. Same quality as the plow! I use two 70 lbs. weights on the hitch to add a little more down force on the back blade on packed snow. I have no doubts you could use eight 70 lbs weights no problem if you wanted. My old cheap 3 point hitch would not carry that much weight and pull the back blade plow at the same time without failing. Thanks for the great product Heavy Hitch!

Actually only four now! I’m way impressed with the engineering and build quality. I’m pushing 80 now, and have no problem changing back and forth from the trash can carrier to this.

The blade is designed to be use with compact and sub-compact tractors. Using it with a vehicle will not allow it to be raised and lowered.

I have used this back blade for several snowfalls this year and the UHMW blade is awesome. Thrilled with the compact size when the blade is folded up and stored away. Only thing that would make this back blade better is bolt-on/remove-able side walls so you could back blade the entire driveway and not have to wind row. Don’t know if that is a possibility, but if it is, I am happy to purchase!

This blade is awesome. I used it to plow some snow today. It worked great. Took the snow all the way down to the concrete. I used the blade with my offset weight bracket heavy hitch. I had 8 of the 70 pound weights on the hitch. It worked equally as well going forward and backwards. The finish is excellent. I ordered the blade with the poly edge. Works as good as steel I would say.

I ordered the rear blade and picked it up Tuesday. Used it the first time on Wednesday. The blade exceeds my expectations-I could not be happier with this purchase. It is not too heavy and bulky, attaches quickly and easily, is very easy to adjust, and stores flat when not in use. It also works perfectly on my gravel driveway.
